Thing’s You Need To Know About Our King Charles Cavaliers

March 06, 2010 Puppies by Administrator

You need to find out about their history and where they come from.
You need to find out about their health problems.
You should make sure that your puppy has been checked for heart, patellas, hips, eyes and bite.
You need to see the shot record’s from the breeder, do not take anyone’s word for these items.

Ask to speak to other people that have bought puppies from the breeder.
Ask to speak to the breeders vet.
As about dog food for your Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
You only want to feed your Cavalier Food that has no corn in it.
You do not want to feed a King Charles Cavalier corn products.
(It will make them obtain fat around their heart mussel.)

Do not feed your Cavalier Puppy raw hides. They can lodge in their tummy and have to be removed by surgery.
Do not feed them Doggie bones either, for they are full of corn.

The first three (3) items on our dog food bag is  most of what the dog food is made of. If the first item is not meat I would not feed it to my King Charles Cavalier Puppy.
Do not feed your Cavalier Puppy Dog Food or treat’s that are made in China.
That is where a lot of the recall’s came from in the last few year’s. It killed a lot of gorgeous dog’s that people loved and thought of as children of family members.

You need to go to website’s or by books on training your Cavalier King Charles Puppy.

How to Care for your Cavalier Puppy.

You can buy books or go to puppy care on line and read some articles.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. After all it is your money and it is a long commitments.
You have worked hard for your money and you should have the bet. I the breeder does not want to answer your question’s I would not spend my money with that breeder. I would look for the best breeder I could find. Make sure you check on the breeder. Talk to his vet and people who have received their puppies. If that is a problem with that breeder that should be a red flag for you.

Also King Charles Cavaliers are not cheep it you are looking for a $500.00 puppy you are looking for trouble.
You will more than likely have a puppy that will cost you a lot of vet bills and more than likely break your heart before it is over.

Save your money and buy from a good breeder.

Do not buy a puppy without at least a one year health contract. Make sure it is signed by the breeder in front of you.
Remember your Healthy Cavalier King Charles Puppy will bring you a lot of love for many years if you take care of him.

But start out right get a Healthy Puppy to start with.

God bless Happy hunting.
